The first leg of the jobsite tour is scheduled for Friday, August 9, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. We will meet at 17311 Highway 50, Springfield, Nebraska, to view the Sarpy County Sewer Project.

NUCA of Nebraska President Jeff Jenkins with Heimes Corp. will be hosting. Jeff will discuss how the communities of Sarpy County have experienced significant growth in recent years and the establishment of the Sarpy County and Cities Wastewater Agency (SCCWWA) to construct a regional wastewater system to serve southern Sarpy County primarily. The SCCWWA sewer service area is approximately 40,000 gross acres and includes the Buffalo Creek, Springfield Creek and Zwiebel Creek drainage basins. The first phase, Phase 1A, is expected to service approximately 5,270 acres completed in 2024. Phase 1B is expected to service approximately 2,940 acres by 2038. Phase 2 is expected to service approximately 8,210 by 2043.
